OmniSource Corporation is one of North America’s largest processors and distributors of scrap and secondary metals. Their operation includes 70 U.S. scrap collection facilities, 11 operating shredders, providing all providing the capacity to process 7 Million tons of ferrous scrap annually and more than a billion pounds of nonferrous metals.
The rich OmniSource history dates back more than 65 years ago when they were founded in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The footprint continues to expand as they expand their processing assets to cover new geographical territories, opening new facilities and making targeted acquisitions. Supplementing their company collection facilities, they have also developed strategic partnerships with companies where they have installed customized metals-recycling programs, some of which they manage and operate at manufacturing facilities nationwide. In 2007, OmniSource was acquired by Steel Dynamics.

“Robotic Arm Improves Shear Capabilities"
