“Working with a Metal Processor”
Featuring – Ed Gonzalez – President & Founder of Ferragon Corporation
Making the right decisions in today’s business environment is critical to our success. Be sure to join us in Ypsilanti to hear how to choose and evaluate a processor and most important – How to communicate with them and best use their facilities. We will also take a look at the opportunities and pitfalls of purchasing your own processing equipment verses working with a toll processor.
Our keynote speaker – Ed Gonzalez – is the sole owner and founder of the Ferragon Corporation which began in 1983 with five employees. Today they have grown the operation to over 300 employees, with four metal processing facilities known as Ferrous Metal Processing; FerrouSouth; Ferrolux Metals of Ohio; Ferrolux Metals of Michigan and a transportation company known as Ferrous Metal Transfer Company. Today they have become one of the largest privately held processing companies in the United States processing approximately 1.25 million tons of steel annually. Their leadership in the processing of hot rolled steel is legendary and now with the addition of a cold rolled combination reversing mill, their ability to process cold rolled steel is revolutionizing toll processing. Today Ferrous Metals facilities have become a one stop shop for all toll processing needs including rolling, annealing, leveling, pickling, slitting and warehousing.
Ferragon President & Founder, Ed Gonzalez, immigrated to this country in 1960 from Cuba and settled in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan. His career in the steel industry began in 1976 working for Ernst & Whinney, then on to Servisteel Corporation, Michigan Metal Processing, and Metropolitan Metals before starting the Ferragon Corporation. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear this powerful message from one of our industry leaders!
